Pursuant to the issued verdict of the Two hundred and Sixteenth Session of the Medical Universities Expansion Council dated 12/06/2012, on behalf of Dr. Vahid Dastjerdi and Dr. Mohammad Ali Mohagheghi, the substantive agreement for the establishment of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences Hearing Disorders Research Center was confirmed. Dr. Ali Asghar Payvandi, Honorable academic member of staff of Loghman Hakim Educational and Medical Center, was appointed as the president of the "Hearing Disorders and Research Center" on 13/03/2017. Honorable Dr. Shahrokh Khoshsirat, an academic member of staff of the University and Specialist in Otolaryngology at Loghman Hakim Educational and Medical Center, was appointed as Vice-President of the Center on 4/12/ 2016. Considering the articles of association, this center makes increasing efforts to promote the level and status of clinical, fundamental and molecular researches by taking into account and focusing on the field of hearing disorders, so that, along with other academic institutions in the country, pursue the Supreme Leader’s advice to participate dynamically in scientific Jihad. It is obvious that applying the critical strategies driven from the collective wisdom of the researchers and senior managers of the center, along with scientific insight and leadership’s experience can enhance the scientific capacity and guidance talent of the research center, taking into account the current scientific peculiarities and given objectives and prospects. These also provide information on how to take the scientific path to achieve success by applying accurate scientific frameworks, as well as periodic and regular monitoring.
